Not sure what to say?

I am devastated to learn of Marilyn's death. We lost touch over a year ago and I had no idea that she had died. I am broken-hearted that we never got the chance to say goodbye. Marilyn was an exceptional person with so many beautiful qualities. I always felt so welcome whenever I would visit, as if I had come home. We were friends for over 30 years and she was one of the few people I have known who was willing to sit with me when I lost my husband and just listen, without the need to...

Marilyn touched my life more than once - Praise God

I met Marilyn when she counselled me through grief. Through the years, I worked with her as her poetry teacher and witnessed the birth of her books. But most of all, she was a special friend whom I will miss dearly.

I had the pleasure of meeting Marilyn in 2012, after my parents moved to her building at Evergreen. I had many conversations with her in the following years, including in December when she was going out with friends to see the Christmas lights. She was a great lady. My condolences to her family and many friends.

Please accept my deepest condolences for your family's loss. May you find comfort in knowing that God keep those who fall asleep in death in his memory, because they are precious in his eyes Psalms 116:15.

I was an ophthalmology resident when Marilyn brought Orville down to UW, and subsequently treated him and kept in touch with her over the years after I became faculty. She was an amazing woman-she was truly inspiring in her career and I loved talking to her about being a woman in academics. She was my client initially, but became a friend and a great supporter-I will never forget her.
