Marilyn was a very classy lady. I have fond memories of her at the Miss Elgin department while working there when I was in high school. She was also the mother of my classmate and friend Kathee Davis.

I met Marilyn two years ago. What I'll remember most was her graciousness, hospitality and inherent sense of courtesy - Marilyn always made sure everyone was acknowledged and taken care of. Can I do anything for you? she would always ask. Marilyn was full of good humor and loved to laugh.
