Not sure what to say?

I have not seen or talked to your Mom in many years although we were good friends a long time ago. When your Dad was alive we spent many hours together on Carey Ave. I saw her picture in the newspaper and cut it out with the intention of calling her but of course we never have or make time for the little things in life. She is out of her pain and back with your Dad and you should be happy not sad.My prayers are with all of you. I live in Florida now - I get the paper down here- and would...

"Marilyn Walko" I always have and I always will get a big smile on my face when I hear her name. Through all her difficulties, she never wanted anyone to feel bad or depressed for her...she just wanted people to smile, laugh and enjoy life. All of us here at Offset Paperback have lost a wonderful friend, but we are all fortunate to have known her and to have fond memories of her. I will cherish my memories of Marilyn forever....

Joey, so sorry to hear about your mom. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

To Marilyn's family, her dear friend Margaret ODonnell Baloga e-mailed me about your mother's death. She was a classmate of mine at StMary's High School, but we had not been in contact with each other except for a brief hello, a short greeting and most importantly, an exchanged smile at a class reunion several years ago. From what Margaret has told me about her courage and her joy despite the trials of her life, your mom was indeed a special person and an inspiration. My prayers are for her...

Marilyn was a one of a kind lady.
she always had a smile and was always so pleasant. I will always
remember her kind smile and her
pleasant attitude toward everyone.
we miss you dearly. May God shine on
you always.

In life, you meet many people. Marilyn was the most cheerful and full of life woman I ever met. The time I knew her at OPM meant a great deal to me and everyone who had the priviledge to know her too. She will be greatly missed by all. Love to all of her family.

Marilyn,
What a privilege it has been to know you. As so many others have said, you were an inspiration to us all. If we could all live, laugh and be as thoughtful and courageous as you have been, the world would be such a better place. Your spirit lit up everyone around you. You were and are one of God's shining stars. One has only to think of you and a smile ultimately appears.
There were many occasions when you dressed up in costume and sauntered down the halls of OPM showing...

I feel blessed to have known Marilyn. It makes me smile when I remember the funny things she'd say & do. You never knew what to expect from her, she truley lived life to the fullest.

And boy could she find a bargain, we would compare notes to see who got the better deals.I wouldn't doubt if some of those things were still in the truck of her car.

I will miss you!
Keep smiling on us Marilyn :)

I FIRST HAD THE PRIVELAGE OF MEETING MRS. WALKO THROUGH HER DAUGHTER MARILYN MANY, MANY YEARS AGO AT A WRESTLING MATCH AT L.L. THEN I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO MEET UP WITH HER AGAIN THROUGH MY JOB AT THE ACME. IT'S NOT TO OFTEN THAT AN ADULT MAKES A LASTING IMPRESSION ON A YOUNG PERSON, BUT MRS. WALKO DID JUST THAT. I AM VERY SAD TO HEAR OF HER PASSING. BUT IF ONE COULD SAY . . . AT LEAST NOW SHE IS AT PEACE AND WITH HER HUSBAND AND SON. GOD BLESS
