When Mario was at West Essex I was told on many occasions that he was super guy. Many members of the Maintenance Staff told me, he would sit down with them to learn what their needs were and move on them. In an instance, they needed special equipment and told the outright go get it. He wanted to know all of their names so he could better interact with them. Mario was a people person. I was sorry to see him leave WE. Rest peacefully Mario, you deserve it.

Mr. Cardinale followed me through nearly my entire early education. I remember so many interactions with him, and he always knew every detail. He cared more than most, and was gentler than just about everyone. Truly a great guy.

Mario was my principal when I started teaching at Woodmont and later when I moved to Lazar. I can´t say enough about how caring and sensitive he was to the needs of the children and the staff. His style allowed everyone around him to be better. Condolences to the family

I knew that day we had made a lifetime friend. Mario was not complicated. He had a huge heart, a big contagious smile, kind words for most everyone, and great love for his family and friends. He also had little patience for pettiness, and no tolerance for gossip. All of us felt happier around Mario. We...

I was blessed to have had the opportunity to work with Mario as his Business Administrator in Butler Public Schools. He was a mentor and a friend. He was extremely knowledgeable, innovative and dedicated to education, but what made him stand out to me was his incredible support for everyone, every student, staff member, board member, and parent. He had a sense of humor that energized the room and he made everyone feel special. My sincerest condolences to his family during this difficult...
