Mario J. Pompa

Mario was one of the people in my life that really influence me in Little Italy. He was a friend to talk when things were not going well, not being Italian he encourage me to cook, his stories of life in Little Italy were priceless.
One story is : Sandra was making dinner one evening and Little Italy was crowed with restaurant goers. Mario was sitting outside with his neighbors when a group of people asked him "Where is the best place to eat'. Mario responded "Right up these steps "....

I'm sorry Michelle, Faith and I were out of state when Uncle Moe died. He will be missed, especially by Faith, who knew him as the pizza maker. No he can be with Aunt Sandy and Mom for eternity. RIP

Mario will be surely missed ! He was said hi to me as his wife Sandy :)
