Not sure what to say?

April 26, 2025 Twenty years gone by. My memories are not diminished. Be well, Dad. You must marvel at the world we are mangling. We will never know your like again. I imagine you and Mum and Reid and beloved Francesca in a place of safety away from all of this. Know, all of you, how much I look forward to seeing you again.

I remember you, Dad, with pride and love. Thank you for being my wonderful friend. If you hadn't been my Dad, I'd wish you were. Love, Jeannie

It is now going to be 18 yrs. Think of you and Mum every day. You are remembered always in my heart. I miss you... Jeannie

Too many memories to count. Most precious: Dad always reaching deep within his pockets to share what he had with the less fortunate...with no fanfare. Standing up for the little guy against Massport in the Senate chamber. Championing the helpless creatures in the world including our family pets. Articulating a simple missive at a wedding or birthday.

I had the great privilege of being his daughter. He left huge footprints to follow. When I lectured in law I loved telling tales of Dad's unique wholesome and decent brand of politics and justice. My husband loved him like a father. My mother and sister and I marveled at his complete lack of driving skills because he was preoccupied with grander visions of a mote perfect world. He loved life and his family and being a good human being. If he gave one iota of good to the world per day he slept...

The Senator never forgot where he came from. He was always there for the people. He was warm, friendly, and always made the time to listen. It was a privilege for me to know him.

My deepest sympathy in Mario's passing. He will be missed.

I just wanted to express my sadness in Mario's passing. My grandmother worked in the bakery many years ago and we've known Mario for quite some time. It seems like yesterday that he was working in the Peabody courthouse. Our thoughts are with you during this time. Finnegan Family (SALERNO)
