Marion C. Barrett

New London, NH-Marion C. (Fuehrer) Barrett, 87, of Little Sunapee Road, died Thursday, October 14 2010 at the New London Hospital. She was born in Rochester, NY on May 25, 1923 the daughter of Gustive and Harriet (Schultz) Fuehrer. She had lived in New London since 1945. Mrs. Barrett served with the WWII WAC 403rd Army Band. She had been a caregiver to the elderly. She was very musical and played the drums with Wilbur Grace and the Night Owls. Mrs. Barrett also sold Avon for over 25 years. She was a member of Crystal Rebekah Lodge. Her husband of 63 years, Robert W. Barrett, died in Sept. 2009. She was also predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Alfano. Members of her family surviving include a son, Robert W. Barrett, Jr. of Barrington, NH; four daughters, Catherine Barrett of Prairie Village, KS, Patsy Barrett King and her husband, Doug of Unity, NH, Terri Masters of Concord, NH, and Joanne Barrett of New London, NH; six grandchildren, Hannah, Ethan, Daniel, Shane, Heather, and Sarah; three great grandchildren, Mathew, Kylie and Cayden; a sister, Helen Zupko of Rochester, NY; nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, NH on Sunday, October 17, 2010 from 4-6 P.M. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in Old Main Street Cemetery, New London, NH with Fred Davis, officiating.
