MARION B. BATES

We just learned of her passing as we went by to visit her this past week. We were so blessed to have her as our neighbor for 7 years in Lakeland. She was such a thoughtful and Godly women. We loved having her over for dinner, Christmas brunch and to play with our boys. We loved hearing all of her stories from her past and getting her support when it came to me becoming a teacher. She was such a wise and noble lady and friend. She is missed but we know she is now were she belongs and with her...

My mother, Nettie Tresohlavy Rix, and I went to visit her from Sebring many times. We, too, are from the Mohawk Valley. She was a remarkable lady and we will miss her.

Just recently heard of "Auntie" Marion's passing. She was always like a grandmother to me, someone I could talk to. I loved when she came and stayed with us in St. George and when we surprised her in Lakeland. I will miss her.

sorry for your loss. i was lucky enough to know her and her witty demeaner. she will be missed dearly and has definately made a impression on me. i was blessed to know her and miss her alot.
