Marion Margaret McCarthy Beaudry

August 11, 1928 – January 26, 2025

Marion Margaret McCarthy Beaudry passed peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at her Villa Scalabrini Retirement home in Sun Valley where she lived for the past 10+ years. She lived 96 years.

Marion outlived her husband Donald Beaudry to whom she was married for over 60 years. In her youth, Marion lived in Boston and worked as a telephone operator on a switchboard before coming out to California.

She first met Donald when she was working as a Ditto Secretary and Donald was a Flight-line Mechanic at Lockheed. As serendipity happens, they both were stood up for a company beach party and attended the party single and met there. The rest is history. They built their life in Lakeview Terrace on a property affectionally called, "The Ranch" where they grew oranges, peaches, tomatoes, avocados, berries, chard, and children.

Marion is survived by her family which consists of her six children, Donna Cable, Robert Beaudry, Bruce Beaudry, Denise Barnes, Jim Beaudry and Michael Beaudry as well as her eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Marion is remembered as being very kind, caring and dutiful and had an Irish sense of humor so much so that one could hardly have a conversation without leaving with a fun joke. Even if it wasn't that funny, it brought joy to all to hear her tell it with such delight.

Marion's children and grandchildren remember her beautiful and playful bright blue eyes and recall how sharp her memory was to listen to details of conversations and then ask about the details at a future conversation.

Not sure what to say?

Marion was a cherished person who promptly befriended my loved one Margaret who also resided at the assisted living in Montrose. Marion always had a smile and a good word and referred to me as the brother she never had. And, in turn, she became the sister I never had. Thank you for your wonderful friendship, Marion. You are always in our hearts.

Mom, you were the guardian angel to the Beaudry family and to many great people in your life.
Love and Prayers, Denise and your grandsons David & Timothy Barnes.

I always remember you as a loving neighbor

Max and I are so glad we got to know all of you and were fortunate to share a small fraction of what you and your family meant to Carl and Paul. We will never forget the time we spent during our visit and all of your warmth and kindness since. Sending love, prayers and our deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved mother.

To the Beaudry family,
Sorry for the loss of your Mom and our Aunt, Auntie Doll. ( Marion ) she lived a wonderful long life. We have great memories when she would travel back to Boston for a visit. We also
Remember traveling to L.A. for her 90th Birthday party. At her party she talked about faith, family, and friends. It was so much a part of her life. Now she is in Heaven with her parents, sisters, and husband. I am sure she is having a cup of tea with them.
With Love...
