Not sure what to say?

My sister I so miss you. Loads of memories of our visits full of laughter and love shared together. Marion was my dear and precious sister. Smiles and making everyone welcome in heaven. Mary Washington

I just moved back home to Colorado, she was one of the first people I wanted to look up . I had her in 6th grade and never forgot her! She was stern but she made me try my best! She never took anything less! I will never forget her, and am sad to see she passed. I know, like mine , she changed many young lives.

mrs. broadnax was a stern teacher, who ran a very tight ship, much like my mother's classroom. i appreciated her very much and i'm sure more, than my son did. he has become a well read and very spoken young man, thanks in no small part for her guidance and, oh yeah the reading lists. i am sure there are some unruly little angels that need you to show them the way. godspeed mrs. broadnax! grab your wings and take your place in heaven.

Marion visited me in Northern Virginia to attend the inauguration ceremony of our first black President, Barack Obama. I will never forget this experience with Marion on that day. Even though it was bitterly cold, Marion was so happy and proud to be a part of this historic event. We had such a wonderful time.
Afterward, Marion and I spent several days antiquing in Virginia and then drove to Pennsylvania to search for additional treasures. She always loved to find that special item...

Mrs. Broadnax was my sixth grade teacher at Carson Middle School. She was an excellent teacher that pushed me harder and farther than most. At the time I resented this "push", but now as an adult, I appreciate all her hard work and dedication. She will be dearly missed for she touched the lives of many. I will miss her warm smile and her big heart the most! I will NEVER forget the things she taught me!

Mrs. Broadnax was an inspiration to me. She was pure class. There are too many memories to write here but my most favorite memories are of fellowshiping with her at her home after Christmas Eve service at Soldiers Memorial Chapel. She was an excellent cook and a perfect hostess. To the family we are so sorry for your loss and you are in our prayers.

Marion's zest for life and love to me and my daughter as my sister and friend will be my most cherished memory of this wonderful woman. She encouraged me and listened to me when I faced life challenges and was always there to support me. She made you feel special everytime you were with her. My life is richer because of my life with Marion for over 25 yrs. Her legacy is her two wonderful children, Jean and Elliot and her touch on her students and her community and her family. Her life is a...

Marion was my dearest friend and I loved her like a sister. She was a great teacher, and friend. The Lord has blessed me with her friendship and guidance over the years. I will miss her presence in my daily life but know she is being taken care of by our Lord.
