Marion and Harry Broquist displayed parent-like concern towards me. I met them first in 1964 when I was a graduate student at the Univ. of Illinois. We kept in touch over the years including the days in Nashville, where I visited them often. On these visits, Marion will always ask me about my wife, Cheryl, and then about each one of my children by name with a genuine concern of their wellbeing. Harry and Marion Broquist had a large impact on my life, and I will never forget either. I recall that I first met Marion in 1969, and I will always remember her as a kind and gracious lady through the years. It was a privileged to know her as a friend. Fred Guengerich
