Not sure what to say?

To the Caluda Family,
I was a student of Mr. Marion's at Chapelle High School. I graduated in 1986. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I really liked him alot. He was my favorite teacher. He made band very fun and I really enjoyed his classes. I know he is in heaven looking down upon you and your family. God bless. He was a beautiful and caring person. He'll be missed alot.

Frank & Kristi,
Our deepest Sympathys to Frank and the entire Caluda family. Losing a parent is one of the most difficult things Dave and I have ever gone through and we promise healing will come with time and his memory will most definetly live for eternity.

Much love to both you and Kristi and your whole family.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Caluda Family.

So sorry to hear about Mr. Caluda. I was a band student of his at Jesuit High School from 1966 through 1971; I still have my baritone, and will in fact be playing it next week (after 30 years of neglect) at the school where I am now a teacher. Mr. Caluda taught me to love music ... and he taught me far more as a mentor over the years at Jesuit. The world has lost a great man, teacher, and role model.

My deepest condolences to the entire Caluda family. As with so many others who've left notes here, I have many fond memories of my days at Jesuit HS and especially my time in the JHS band under Mr. Caluda's direction.

I just learned from Joe of his dad's passing. Mr. Caluda was a great mentor to me, giving me not only great musical opportunities but also avenues for tremendous personal growth. Along with my own parents and siblings, he was as responsible as anyone for inspiring me into what became my lifelong musical career. But he didn't do so by overtly suggesting that path to me; in fact, after his heart attack in the mid-'70s, he suggested to me that teaching music might not be the best avenue for...

Joe- so sorry for your loss. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Sorry for your loss. I'll miss seeing MJCALUDA on-line. Mr. Caluda was my band director at Jesuit. We both grew during that time and I'll always have the memories.

I have many happy memories of Mr. Caluda as band director of Leon Godchaux High School in Reserve, La. I am sure he will be missed. Whether he knew it or not, he was an important part of my life; in fact, he gave me my nickname "Lil Bit".
