Not sure what to say?

We, the members of Andy's Peace Corps Group VII, are just now learning of his passing. And we are saddened he will not be with us next year, 2025, when we celebrate our 60th anniversary. He will be memorialized next year. Andy was a guy everyone loved. He had that magnetic personality. Our condolences to Linda and family. -- Karen Miller '65-'67 Returned Peace Corps Volunteer Freetown/Segbwema Sierra Leone, W. Africa

I went to Woodlawn with Andy as well and remember him as a bright, friendly, warm and caring person. I left Woodlawn just before my senior year and moved to Tuscaloosa. I was a friend to Julie Holaday as well, but never knew of her friendship with Andy. My loss. I thank God to have known these two exceptional people.

On this past Christmas day, I gave Andy a call and we had a wonderful time getting caught up after several years. Andy was like a brother to me, and I know how my sister, Julie, loved Andy and all the amazing friends they brought to the Holaday home over our years in Tuscaloosa. I am Delaney Holaday Brandhorst, the sister of Julie Peake Holaday, a wonderful friend of Andy's. Julie died in 1969. Andy was with all of my family during that time. I loved Andy, and will miss that I was never was able to contact him. I believe my brother, John Holaday had some contact with him. Those days at the University of Alabama are so valuable to me. Andy and I were classmates in the art department at the University of Alabama...we shared a great friendship with Julie Peake Holaday....Andy was a gifted artist....I still have two prints he made as an undergraduate. I'm sorry to read of his death.

Andy and I attended Woodlawn High School together. I would have failed algebra if he had not helped me. He was a fine person and friend.
