BELLANT, Pearline Maye - Formerly of Flushing and Gaylord, age 96, died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at The Landings of Genesee Valley.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Mark Hoult officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gaylord Church of the Nazarene, 1399 Wilkinson Rd, Gaylord, MI 49735

Pearline was born on January 7, 1924 in Kansas, the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Pearl Maye (nee Bennett) Carter. On June 28, 1947 she married Kenneth Bellant in Flint and he preceded her in death in 2018 after 70 years of marriage. She worked for 34 years at AC Spark Plug Division for General Motors, Flint, as a line operator. She was a former member of Gaylord Church of the Nazarene and Mt. Morris Free Methodist Church. Her many interests and abilities included Sunday School Teacher, choir member, camping, traveling, horses, swimming, water skiing, and cross country skiing. She had the gift of hospitality and of serving others and had a tender heart for hurting and disadvantaged people of all ages.
Surviving are children, Nancy (Michael D.) Romanack of Linden and Daniel Bellant of Gaylord;
grandchildren, Jason (Janel) Romanack of Linden, Julie (Steve) Morris of Flushing, Daniel M. Romanack of Flint and Christopher (Jessica) Bellant of Houston, Texas;
great-grandchildren, Taylor, Sierra, Jaden, Jared, Drew, Sean, Alexis, Arianna, Charley and Henry;
sister, Edditha Carter Rogers;
sister-in-law Ola Bellant;
and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; siblings, Louise Horton, John Carter, James Carter and Wesley Carter.
