Born July 20, 1927, to Mary and Einar Norman in Kansas City, Mo. Died peacefully October 30, 2015, in Sedro Woolley, Wash. Marion married Albert Frosch, the love of her life on December 22, 1952. They began their family with Nancy and then Leslie. Marion was a stay at home mom until her children graduated and then went to work for the King County Elections Department working in Absentee Ballots. She became the supervisor and retired from there. This was full-time work part of the year which suited Marion's active lifestyle. She was known for being a kind and caring person. She liked making people happy. She was loving, fair, kind, and honest and fun loving. She was a person with many interests and was adventurous and always willing to try new things and meet new people. She moved with her family to Seattle, Wash. her senior year of high school, attending Lincoln High School. She worked until she got married. She loved her family, holiday celebrations with the extended family, other people, walking, music, dancing, volleyball, softball, curling, animals, gardening, wine making, canning, cooking, crafts, collecting things and the outdoors. She once took a course in Marine Biology from Dixie Lee Ray and then proceeded to bring marine life specimens into the elementary school on a regular basis to share her knowledge, always returning the marine life specimens to their original location. She loved nature and was always on the lookout for a good shell, rock, bird's eggshell or leaf. She loved watching birds (eagles, hummingbirds, swans, finches, jays, etc.) and picking flowers. She was very supportive of her family's activities and interests and was involved in the PTA. Marion was loved greatly by her daughters and was their best friend. She often visited her uncles and cousins in Missouri during the summer. She volunteered and believed in giving back to the community. She was a Girl Scout Leader and loved camping, backpacking, crafts and working with the girls and enjoyed hearing their experiences as they learned and grew. She was an excellent cook and knew how to prepare food for large groups of people. She was given a life membership for all of her volunteer activities at Granite Curling club in Seattle. She was President of the Granidears and was on the board of Granite Curling Club. She also volunteered at the national level being the US Women's Curling Rep for this region. She was instrumental in the development of the US Women's Curling Senior Friendship Tour with Canada and was able to go along as one of the Couriers for the first one. She was also on a composite team that won the USWCA Senior Bonspiel in Alaska. Marion's husband (Al); mother, father; sister (Kathyrn); and brothers-in-law (Chris and Ray), sister-in-law (Estelle) and son-in-law (Ben Cianfrone) preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Cushman and her brother, Einar Norman; daughters, Nancy (Morris) Richard, Leslie Frosch; and grandson, Adam Richard; and numerous nieces and nephews; and cousin, Raymer Berryman. Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Washelli Chapel located at 11111 Aurora Ave N., Seattle, WA 98133.
