Marion E. "Bunny" Getman

Newport, NH-Marion "Bunny" E. Getman, 64, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 at The Clough Center in New London where she had been a resident for the past year.

She was born in New London, NH on Feb. 8, 1941, the daughter of Carlton Ray and Grace E. (Shaw) Hall. She spent her early years in Newbury, NH and later worked at various shoe shops in Newport. Mrs. Getman lived in the Newport area all of her adult life. She loved birds, nature, gardening, and being outdoors. She also was very interested in animals and flowers and enjoyed having candy when she could.

She was predeceased by her sister, Evelyn LaClair in 1987. Members of her family surviving include two daughters, Christine St. Cyr of Sutton, NH and Cathleen B. Merrill of Newport, NH; three sons, Barry Wheeler of Bradford, NH, Dale Getman of Plymouth, NH, and Mark Getman of Campton, NH; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandsons; a brother, Willis C. Hall of Webster, NH; three sisters, Carolyn LaClair of Newbury, NH, Claire Blais of Concord, NH, and Katherine Drown of Webster, NH; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, NH on Wed., Nov. 2, 2005 from 12-1 P.M. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 P.M. in Lakeside Cemetery, Newbury, NH.
