Our Sheffer family has wonderful memories of Marion throughout the years. One very special memory was Christmas, 1968, when we were in Finland with our three youngest children for Howard's sabbattical year. The older three had to stay behind, because of college and work. Marion invited them for Christmas dinner and made a phone call to Finland, to let them talk to us. I wrote in my journal that night, "The best present I ever got!" Thank you again, Marion!
