Marion N. Stoneback, 90, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Capital Health Medical Center, in Hopewell township. Born in Princeton on February 23, 1931 she had lived in the Bordentown area for 60 years prior to moving to Allentown, NJ 2 years ago.
Marion was a graduate of East Lampeter Township High School in Lancaster County, PA. She graduated from Burlington County College and later graduated from Trenton State College with a degree in both nursing and psychology. She had worked in a hospital for a short time before joining the Visiting Nursing Association of Mercer and Burlington County.
Marion was a Presbyterian her entire life. As a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bordentown, she was a superintendent of Sunday School and a Deacon and Chairwomen of the Memorial Committee. She was also active in the community and was on the Bordentown Community Concert Board, a Board member of Bordentown Library Association for many years before it became part of the Burlington County Library System and was a member of the Good Neighbor Guild Committee, helping those less fortunate.
Marion was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, elder sibling and aunt and will be deeply missed.
Daughter of the late Charles F. Nesslage Jr. and Marion S. McConahy, she is survived by her beloved husband of 68 ½ years, Alan M. Stoneback. Three children: Richard A. Stoneback, David B. Stoneback and his wife Betsy and Amy L. Dallas and her husband Edward. Five grandchildren: Kirk Stoneback, Rochelle Raynor(Alex), Matthew Dallas(Alyssa), Brian Stoneback(Christina) and Emily Dallas(Jeffrey Strunk) and four great grandchildren. Her three siblings: Donald J. Nesslage(Joanne), Jeanne Reilly(Dr. Daniel) and Arthur Nesslage(Lee), her brother-in-law: Howard W. Stoneback Jr(Gertrude) and many nieces nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be 11 am Friday, November 12 at the First Presbyterian Church, 420 Farnsworth Ave, Bordentown, NJ. Friends may visit with the family from 10 am until time of service. Interment will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Tribute Program, PO BOX 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908. A St. Jude’s artificial heart valve was flawless in keeping Marion alive for the last 26 years.

Alan, I am so very sorry to hear about Marion. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I am in Florida and unable to attend the services but my thought and prayers are with all of you. Marion was a wonderful person to know. God bless you all. Sharon
