Marion "Verdelle" Solomon Walker, 90, transitioned from her earthly home to her eternal life on May 13, 2022 at the home of her daughter. Marion was born in December 13, 1931 to the late Ervie Roy Solomon, Sr., and Corina Solomon. She graduated from Johnston County Training School in 1949 and attended Fayetteville State and St. Augustine Colleges receiving a BS Degree in education. Marion worked as an educator for many years in Marion, SC, Gaston, NC, and Washington, D.C. At an early age, under the leadership of Dr. D.S. Super, she joined St. Mark A.M.E. Church. She was one of the pianists as a young adult and devoted her services and support until the end of her life. She also enjoyed playing cards and Bingo.
