Not sure what to say?

I shall always remember Marios for his easy laugh, integrity, vast knowledge. He was so well read, spending sunsets with his latest book, summarizing them for us.

His family was always first. Any meeting or event would be postponed if a grandchild had a school event. His Greek heritage was a source of pride. Any conversation could instantly jump to how it tied back to a philosopher or discovery from his beloved homeland; especially Epicurus, his favorite! A delight to see him dancing....

Dear Marios you are loved, you are missed, and will never be forgotten. You live on in your beautiful family and the hearts of your friends. I am so glad that I had the privilege of knowing you.

RIP forever in our hearts

Marios presented Greek History and Philosophy in present day terms with insight. We met because he was reading philosophy and I asked a question. He kindly took time out to explain. He introduced me to the Humanist Society. He was thoughtful and concerned with others well-being helping to collect food for those in need. He was a gentle man. I'm grateful to have shared time with him benefiting from his enthusiasm for life. Thank you Marios. My deep sympathy to his family.

So sorry to read of the passing of Marios. You and I (and Judy) worked together many years ago at the Burger Queen. Mere words cannot erase the pain of his passing, but may you be comforted by his life, well lived.

Oh, Marios, we will miss you. You brought such light to our various meetings and events.

I met Marios in 2010 when I was guest speaker during a Humanist Society Event.
Marios was a student of education, had a curious mind, enjoyed the opera, dancing, reading books, traveling, and discussing and debating current events.
There is no doubt he will be remembered most for his love of family and contributions to the community.

Marios may have left, but he did not take with him the traits that made him the unique person he was: his curiosity, intellectual prowess, love of humanity and for his countries, both native and adopted, and many other attributes of a true humanist. Those things he left behind for us to continue. We are all grateful for his presence among us.
