Not sure what to say?

I remember Mariruth from the time I was little when she worked my aunt and uncle at Moody Pharmacy. She always took me around the store and was so nice. I would see her some when I visted Moody and she had beautiful flowers around her house. I know she is going to be missed.

Mariruth was so very special to me and has been since 1950 when we moved to Leeds. I loved her very much.

When visiting Leeds, I always had to find the time to visit Mariruth, one of my truly favorite people. Now, when the sky is blue and full of puffy white clouds, I'll look up and see her sitting on one of those clouds where she now belongs – right next to Mr. Joe Powers!

When thinking of Marriruth I know she was what a true Southern lady should be. From her love of reading, her love of her church, her community, her family and her friends. This lady will truly be missed but God sure got a special angel in heaven. We will always love and miss you sweet lady.

Mariruth Powers was a very special lady with unbelievable talents. She could make a flower arrangement out of weeds, and it would be absolutely beautiful. My Dad thought she was a remarkable woman.

Such a sweet gracious lady. Mariruth will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mariruth was a creative, confidant Southern lady with a wry sense of humor. She was also a pillar of society, contributing her talents, time and energy to her church and to her community. But, most of all for me, she was a dear friend to my mother-in-law, who I know, will miss her greatly. We all will miss this special lady.
