Send Flowers

An Angel Collector
On Monday, Sept. 10, Marisa DiNardo went out to dinner to celebrate her mother's birthday. But Ms. DiNardo, who was a trader at Cantor Fitzgerald, did not have to travel far to join the party. She hosted a group of six at Windows on the World, a few floors up from her office in the World Trade Center.

"We ordered great wine and food, danced and laughed until 1:30 a.m.," said her brother Harley. "She said she had to be back at 8:15 that morning for a meeting."

Born on New Year's Eve in 1962, Ms. DiNardo grew up in West Harrison, N.Y., and went to Harrison High School. She is remembered as a woman who was devoted to her job, who doted on her family and was devoutly religious. "She went out of her way for family and friends," said Nella Barrese, who knew Ms. DiNardo since they were 8.

"She was ambitious in a field that was dominated by men," her brother said. "Trading came very easily to her."

Neither Ms. Barrese nor Mr. DiNardo would call it a hobby, but Marisa collected angels. "She believed in fate and destiny and that sort of thing," Ms. Barrese said. "She had a very strong faith in God."
