Not sure what to say?

To the Jurczyk family, I came across a photo of Marissa and our son, Michael, taken when they attended a high school dance together. They dated for quite a while during their years at Walsh Jesuit HS, and I remember what a sweet and kind girl she was. If you still receive these messages here, please know that a prayer for peace and strength was sent up for you, not only for this holiday season, but for always.

Marisa was a friend of mine whom I got to know really well back in 2022. I had lost her phone number and contact info, so I was searching to find it when I came across this devastating news. I am completely heartbroken. Marisa was a strong, intelligent and kind soul who had the sweetest smile. Her presence gave you comfort. Ill forever cherish all the laughs we had back when we got to know eachother. Ill always remember her for her kindness. Sending my deepest sympathy and condolences to her...

Single Memorial Tree

I worked with Marisa when she joined FP21 in spring 2023. I remember being impressed by her ability to think through problems from many perspectives. She also had a strong sense of ethics and justice and put action behind her beliefs. During her internship, she was thoughtful and diligent. She co-authored an ambitious report on foreign policy reforms. She was an inspiring young person with a bright future; all of us at fp21 are saddened by her loss and are grateful for the time she spent with...

And in return, life-and travel-leaves marks on you. Most of the time, those marks-on your body or on your heart-are beautiful. Often, though, they hurt.' Marisa left many beautiful marks on me. She would always say hi and ask how I was doing with a strong intention to help in anyway possible. We both shared...

Marie & Family: I just came home from Marisa's Funeral Mass. Please accept my sincere empathy and humble prayers for your bottomless grief.

Dear Jurczyk Family, At a time of mourning in my life, a wise woman once told me, " The earth cries no tears that Heaven can´t heal". In reading about Marisa´s life - her many accomplishments, her deep empathy, her call to action, her love of family, friends and a coonhound named Chance - I truly believe Marisa is taking her Heavenly place and is making sweet music from above! May all her loves honor her by keeping her memory alive, and May her soul live on in the light of God´s love. With...
