I had the pleasure of meeting Marisol in Phila in 1970! Yes, the year she became Miss Universe. I had been crowned Su Majestad Josie Ramos as Queen of the Phila. Spanish Parade in 1970. Marisol was invited to the Parade banquet the night of the Parade. I remember going home after the parade to remove my gown and dry it in time for the banquet because it rained hard that day. I was six years younger than you in 1970, and I still remember the elation I felt the moment you were crowned Miss a Universe! Not only were you very beautiful but you were smart. Thank you for making us proud of being Latin.
