Not sure what to say?

My wife, Cynda, worked at the Ft Wayne News Sentinel from 1973 until 1977. We got to know Marjorie and she came to our house several times fof parties with the newspaper staff. She was always supportive of Cynda and liked my jokes. We talked with her about Manchester College, also my Alma Mater, and my mom, Marilyn Mort. She was such a dear person and we will miss her also.

I knew Marjorie when she lived in N. Manchester and was going to college and working for the News Journal. She roomed next door to us and one Sat. she with my sister and I rode our bicycles out to the old German Baptist Church and she did a water color of it. She gave it to me and I had the picture in my home for many years and finally gave it to member of the church a couple of years ago. She was a good artist in addition to her many other talents. I was sorry to hear of her passing.

As a child, I knew Miss Barnhart very well and was fond of her when she worked for my father, editor and co-owner of the North Manchester News-Journal. My father, Roland Schmedel, was very proud of her success at The News-Sentinel. She was a wonderful person, and I am happy to pay my respects.

Marge,

You lived your life, in your praise and your criticism, as a lover of the theatre, in affirmation of its gift to the human experience.

My sinceres Condolences
Good by Margie
