Marjorie "Margie" Amanda Conaway, the fourth child of William Morris and Eliza (Lizzie Frerichs) Morris, was born February 29, 1920, in Lorton, Neb. Margie joined her loved ones that have passed on February 6, 2010. She quietly passed away at home among her family.

Margie was united in marriage to (Glen) Kenneth Conaway, of Nebraska City, Neb., in October 1936. They moved to Council Bluffs in 1952 and have resided here since. Her husband, Kenny, preceded her in death January 1979. To this union, five children were born.

Those left to mourn her passing are her children, Ruth E. (Mrs. Richard) Lutz, of Sutherland, Neb., G. Kay (Mrs. Gene) McKern, Ken L. Conaway and wife, Jane, Alice P. (Mrs. Bill) Grassman, R. Mike Conaway and wife, Karen, all of Council Bluffs. Mike preceded Margie in death November 2006.

She was also preceded in death by her grandchildren, Elizabeth Lutz, Mark Lutz, Marjorie K. Long (Lutz), Peggy L. Carmen (Lutz), Brian D. Clouse, and great-grandchildren, Britney Shipman and Mark Lutz. Also, her mother and father; brothers, Harold and Lynn Morris; sisters, Blanche Micke, Evelyn Schmidt and Leola Bischoff and so many other loved ones.

She has a loving family of 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Margie was a loving wife, mom, grandma, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all since she was known as "the greatest Grandma ever."

Worship service will be Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., at Maher-Livingston Funeral Home in Council Bluffs with visitation held afterwards from 7 to 8 p.m. Graveside service will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City, Neb.

Margorie, Or Mrs.Conaway to me. She was a sweetheart. I remember her and her cookies. Nobody could resist her cookies. Especialy when she told everybody to stay out of them.. A real neat lady. I Pray that God will send His angels out to comfort all.

Marjie was a great person I am proud to say she was my Great Grandmother and enjoyed the visits in the summer with my Grandma Ruth to Council Bluffs. You will be missed. Rest in Peace and God Bless You

I am so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing,I was friends with Ruth all through high school and spent a lot of time at your home and even went on a visit to grandparents one summer.
