I was very, very sad to hear of Marge's passing. I got to know Marge when I started working at BryanLGH Medical Center East in 1996 in the Admissions office where she volunteered as a patient escort. I continued to work with Marge in teh volunteer office until she left the hospital to move to Iowa. She was always very special in my heart and I have and will miss her very much.

I am the daughter of Niles H. Barnard who was the chairman of the Mechanical Engineering Department at UNL that Marjorie worked for all those many years. I believe I was in college about the time that she retired. I remember her very well. I know that my father felt truly blessed to have her for his secretary. Please accept my sincere sympathy at this time. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I was saddened to hear of the death of my dear friend, "Mrs. Devries". I got to know her while I was a student at UNL and worked with her in the Mechanical Engineering Department. I always remember that at noon, she usually walked down to Miller and Paine to have lunch at the cafeteria, and on some ocassions, Everett would call and take her to lunch to some special place - they always seemed so in love. I loved to hear her tell stories of the houses that Everett built for her, and was...

"Mary Ann's Mom" and Mary Ann were quite the pair - always together at all Polk County Master Gardener events. I loved Margorie's wicked sense of humor! One time I reintroduced myself to her: "I'm Jeri, Mary Ann's friend." She replied "Well, I'm glad to know she has one." So, my dear friend Mary Ann, Love and Kisses and Hugs from your one friend (HA!) Jeri

Aunt Marge was the epitome of a grand old lady! She was stylish and humorous, and full of wonderful stories about her childhood, which we enjoyed immensely in our brief visits with her in recent years. Bob and I will miss such moments greatly.

To my Grandma, "Grammy"...
I've been sitting here thinking of you and all that you taught me over the years. I look around my home and at my life and I see your style and influence in so much of me...the way I decorate, the way I dress and do things, the manners I have, the traditions that you passed down from your mother.
I reflect on the many things that I loved...your coconut cream pie that was my favorite, your peanut brittle at Christmas, your awesome pork roasts and mashed...
