Not sure what to say?

Sister Marjorie had a profound effect on me as an 8th Grade student in St. Kevin's, Flushing over 40 years ago. She was an vibrant and effective teacher, but also a wonderful mentor.

I had the pleasure of working with Sister Marjorie at OLBS School in Bayside from 1983 to 1993. Those were some of my best teaching years due to our fun loving principal, Sr. Marjorie. We had attended Lion's Quest together and had a blast! When she left OLBS, the faculty threw her a surprise party at Jones Beach. We had a Sand Dollar ceremony on the beach and enjoyed lunch at the restaurant at Field 4. We gave her many gag gifts but I think the one she loved the most were the red high heeled...

Through her longtime friendship with my aunt, Sister Lucille Brislin, Sister Marjorie has been an extended member of our family for years. I will always remember my 1992 trip to Ireland with Aunt Lucille, Sister Marge & Sister Dorothy Reaver. As we started out each morning in our rental car for the adventure of the day, Sister Marge would first lead us in reciting the Memorare...then, the hilarity would begin! Her humor was infectious! Sister Marge will be sadly missed...and, now, we have an...

Sr. Marjorie was principal of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, Bayside,N.Y. when she hired me as a Pre-K teacher. I remember her friendly smile and hilarious wit when she would come into my classroom, sit in the rocking chair and interact with the children gathered around her. Her inspiration and guidance as principal and friend will always be engraved in my heart. Thank you Sr, Marjorie and Peace be with you.

Sister Marjorie is my wife Tracy's Aunt Winnie. I knew her as an exceptionally kind woman who had a wonderful sense of humor and a loving spirit. I've known many of the Sisters of Mercy, from my time at Mercy College. They are all wonderful women whom I hold in the highest esteem. None more so, than Sister Marjorie, our Aunt Winnie.

We'll all Miss Aunt Winnie.

I always enjoyed Sr. Marjorie's friendlyness: she had a way of making others feel welcome and like she knew you, all of her life. She was a special soul, to be sure!

here's a lady who will go straight to heaven for having a student like me. she taught me a lot about life when i think back on it, never knew she was irish now i know where it all came from. having a crew cut kept me from many hair massages. haha inside joke among her students. may the lord hold you in the palm of his hand until we meet again sister. rest in peace.

I just cannot believe that she is gone. I wanted to hear her voice just one more time in the morning. She had a new york accent that I loved to hear. When I saw her Saturday, I was surprised. I didn't know that she was a patient. I told her I loved her and I would pray for her. She said a prayer every single morning. I miss you sister and my heart goes out to all that miss her as much as I do. Rest in peace Sister Marjorie. PS I love you.
