Marjorie J. Hatcher (nee Creger), of Horsham, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Artman Lutheran Home. She was 90. Marjorie was the loving wife of 65 years of the late Troy T. Hatcher. Born on January 13, 1927 in Philadelphia, Marjorie was the daughter of the late Frederick and Bessie Mae (nee Knarr) Creger of Rockledge. Marge and Troy were married on April 19, 1947 in Rockledge, PA. In 1954, they bought their home in Horsham and remained there for the rest of their lives. They spent many summers in Canada with friends doing what they loved, fishing. Their grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought much joy to their lives. Marge was her husband's devoted and loving caregiver during his last years. Marge loved and enjoyed her crafts. Many friends and family received many gifts from her such as needlepoint, cross stitch, and greeting cards. She loved making things for others. She was also employed at Flexible Circuits for many years prior to her retirement. Marjorie is survived by her loving daughters, Carol DeCarlo (Robert) of Horsham, and Rebecca (Norman) Spayd of Denton, TX. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Shannon Campbell, (Regan) of Media, and Eve Lynn Spayd of Austin, TX; and her two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Regan Campbell, Jr. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as many devoted neighbors. Special to her were Tony and Chris DeBelle, neighbors for many years who felt like family to her. In addition to her husband, Marjorie was predeceased by her sister, Betty Defries, of Hatboro, and her granddaughter, Stephanie Lynn Zerbey Breen (survived by her husband, Sean M.) There will be no visitation, and her interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made in Marjorie's granddaughter, Stephanie's name, to The Lupus foundation of America, 101 Greenwood Ave, Suite 200 Jenkintown, PA 19046 or to the Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

Not sure what to say?

Marge was someone who really touched my heart and I absolutely loved having the opportunity to be a part of her life. Lucy and I will greatly miss her warm words and smile.

Becky and Carol, Please know that we're all (Mom, Pam, Bobby, David and I) thinking of you and your family as you go through this tough time. Mom sends her love to you all.
