Not sure what to say?

She was an outstanding person that demonstrated integrity in all that she touched. I knew her for 27 years. You could not ask for a better friend.

Marver,
Had written a note to Margie, on 5/21. It was returned today, 6/09.
Am so sorry to get the news. My deepest condolences to you and the rest of the family. Fortunately, I had called her sometime before the
note. She sounded well and happy.

Love,
Joyce Haas

This world has lost a GREAT woman, and heaven has gained a BEAUTIFUL ANGEL.
I will always remember as a child, waiting for aunt Margie to return from a trip. She never failed to bring us kids something . It would always be educational, but always fun. I remember as a kid going to aunt Margie’s house to hand out candy on Halloween, and Christmas Eve seemed as if it would never get her so we could go to aunt Margie’s Party. I regretfully missed many of those parties when I grew up, but I...

Marva and family,

Margie was the brightest woman I know. She had a great sense of humor and compassion. Her dedication to the church and to teaching were the cornerstones of her life. She made a difference in both.

She examined everything with that marvelous analytical ability. And then she could laugh at what she had found.

And she had a sense of adventure and curiosity. I can remember our "obey that impulse" trips.

She will be missed by many,...

We've lost a great one in Marjorie King. Her vision and leadership enabled Jefferson Parish science instruction to prosper. Marjorie was one of the hardest working, most passionate and dedicated individuals I have ever known. I am truly blessed to have had her as a mentor throughout my teaching career.

Having worked with Margie King in the Title II program as an Instructional Strategist I was always in awe of her knowledge and was delighted by her humor. When she retired she left a hole that could never quite be filled in Jefferson Parish Schools. My thoughts are with her family. Dawn Murden, JPPSS

The king Family,
I have not seen margie for about 30 years but we are praying for the hole family because i know that margie is already in heaven because see was a Great person, from the Sampey family.

Marjorie was a long time collegue who I valued as a personal friend
and as a collegue who touched the lives of teachers and children
in a variety of positive ways. She and I worked on the State Science
Framework, the Science Assessment Framework, the Elementary
and Middle School LINKS poster. She was a professional who will
be missed by the science education people, including students in
the state.
May God bless you as you commencerate and remember her...

When I first started teaching biology at L.W.Higgins High School Marjorie was a wonderful mentor and friend. She was instrumental in me becoming the teacher I am today. I will never forget the first grant I wrote on videomicrosocopy. Marjorie had me making a presentation at the NABT convention in San Diegeo. I was scared to death but Marjorie helped me through. She will be a great loss to science education locally, regionally, and nationally.
