Not sure what to say?

I am a former graduate of Oregon State University in the 1980s. My name then was Rod Fillible (Kent Filbel now). I have a very fond memory of Marj McBride when she was an administrator there. I found her office because I was having difficulty with a registration issue. She patiently heard my difficulties and at the end she stood up with a smile and said, "Follow me." She marched over to the administration building with me in tow, walked up to a women at a counter, and said, "My name is...

Marj was a breath of fresh air! I used to refer to her as Marj "McPutnam" because she was part of our family. Marj's quick wit always left a smile on your lips & a song in your heart. She will really be missed.

Marj was a wonderful lady. She had a great talent for making people smile. Her wit and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Marj will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She reached out a helping hand to many young people in need, including my granddaughter. Marj was part of the family, as Tom said she lived with Alice Swift for many years. My Mother (Joyce(Parker)Brynteson) was Alice's cousin. Marj was a Blessing from God.

We grew up hearing stories about "The Beauty from Billings". Marj was a friend of my mom and dad from their days together at Linfield. As an adult I got to know Marj as a bright, funny and strong woman who had a wonderful career as an educator and mentor to so many. She was one of my mom's cherished friends and I am happy to have had the honor of knowing her.

I've known Marj all my life. As one of my mother's sorority sisters, our lives intermingled throughout their college life and careers. We will miss "The Beauty from Billings"

My name is Mary Fran Pearman. I am Marj's first cousin. I grew up in Albany, MO, but visited Marj in Billings when we were young.

I now live in Augusta, GA, with my daughter, Susie Felz. My phone # is 706-855-6120.

I always thought the world of Marj. She will be missed.

I knew Marj through Tess McBride Ratty and my brother, Brian Ratty. I remember her kind and open face and presence at my mother's funeral.
Marj lived an active and interesting life with her profession, extended family and singing group. What more can we ask for from life!

Good ol' Marj at the Parker Reunion 2003

I have known good ol' Marj all my life! I am the nephew of Marj's life long best friend & roomate Alice Smith (my late aunt) I have always spelled her name "Marge" until learning recently it's "Marj short for Marjorie.. she was practically my aunt! I loved Marj and always considered her as part of the Swift/Parker family. We will all miss her very much. Alice & Marj would call me and sing happy birthday on my answering machine when I lived in Maryland. Marj & Aunt Alice would have a big...
