Marjorie, Bob and I are sorry to hear of your mother's death. She was such a gracious and elegant lady. I remember being invited to your home for lunch as a young girl in junior high school. That event has stayed with me all these years.

Marjorie, I am very sorry to hear about your mother's death. I remember when we were in junior high school and she invited a group to lunch. I guess that was one of my first memories of how I wanted to live. Your mother had such grace, and treated everyone with such hospitality. She lived a long time, and evidently had a wonderful life. You and your family are in Bob's and my prayers.

Marjorie, your mother was such a dear lady and was such a good friend. I grew up on 9th street and we kept in touch for years. I am sure that all who knew her will miss her very much. My deepest sympathies go to you and your family.

Ms Meredith was a gracious lady who remains close in our hearts more than a decade after our relocation from Tuscaloosa. She and Mr Meredith sold us our first home as new professors to UA... fumbling transplants from "the north". Over a period of close to 19 years we were blessed to have them in our lives as our Arcadia neighbors. Today Ms Meredith remains someone I aspire to emulate...her grace, kindness and guidance related to "all things beautiful" are sustaining life lessons that will be...

Dear all the Family: I'll always consider it the utmost honour that the first house I ever owned (for 9 years!) as an adult was 1702 Ninth Street, the wonderful Cape Cod designed by architect Don Buel Schuyler and built at their wedding in 1937 for Mrs. Meredith by Mr. Owen Meredith, jr. Mrs. Meredith and I spent many happy hours as she generously shared her memories of living on Ninth Street. May the Lord Bless You, Keep You, and Give You His Peace. Love always, -David Nelson
