Not sure what to say?

Our families were neighbors on Jordan Ave, back in the 50's! I remember my Mom (Vivian Gilliland) having coffee together in the kitchen with Peggy or shopping for dresses at the Great Eastern store that was downtown. Great memories...

My prayers and sympathy go out to your family during this difficult time.

Same thread...As soon as I saw the photo I thought 'that's Mrs. Powers from Anacapa' That was 45 years ago for me! My thoughts are with the family.

My condolences to Mrs. Powers' family. My father, Harold B. Howe, taught with Mrs. Powers' husband at Ventura College for many years and my mother, Catherine Howe, worked with Mrs. Powers at Anacapa. My love to your family. So many memories!

I remember Mrs. Powers from Ventura Junior High School and looked up her picture in my 1951 year book, "The Anchor." She was, as I recall, a very caring and kind secretary.

My deepest sympathy to her family.

when i saw mrs. powers' photo i was reminded of my anacapa jhs career: '57 thru '60. she was a kind woman and made life better for me.
