Mark A. Stanko, Sr., 59, of Monongahela, died unexpectedly Friday, June 13, 2014 at the Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born January 22, 1955 in Washington, the son of Bethel Frank Stanko who survives and resides in Monongahela and the late Arpod Z. Stanko who died March 10, 1980. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Margie Hamilton Stanko with whom he celebrated forty one years of marriage on July 3, 2013; two sons, Mark A. Stanko, Jr. and wife Janelle of Monongahela, Tor A. Stanko at home; daughter, Trish M. Young and husband David of New Eagle; three grandchildren, Briana, Louden and Landon Stanko; and a brother, Gary Stanko of Monongahela. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Arpod "Arpy" Stanko who died November 14, 1978. At Mark's request, there will be no visitations or services. The Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions in Mark's memory may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Uncle Mark was the best Uncle you could ever have,,He was our rock,hero our superman,,,He will be so sadly missed but never forgotten ever..We shared a lot of laughs along with hard times but as a family we got through it,this is one of those hard times and as a strong family that we are we will stand together and get through the loss of a wonderful wonderful Uncle..Iam sure he is feeling much better now that he can breath and has no pain..We Love and miss you Uncle Mark your the best!!...
