Rev. Mark Allen

We were very sad to hear of Rev. Mark's passing at so early an age. We were privileged to know him, Nancy, and exciting family during his years at St. Nicholas, Paradise, California. Later, coincidentally, he was posted to Davis, California, our daughter's new destination, where we caught up with the Allens. ... Mark was warm, sincere, and an excellent speaker. Mark was a memorable and unique friend throughout our years T Hood River High School. We formed a folk singing group with six others ... 4 boys and 4 girls. He taught himself to play the guitar and contributed a lively and strong voice and instrument to our little `Group´. Absolutely one of my best memories of an outstanding and energetic, positive influence. Karen Burger

Mark was a dear friend and exceptional priest. He followed me as Rector of St. Nicholas Episcopal Church in Paradise, California. His work there is legendary and he and his family were loved by all. His memory is a blessing to all of us who knew him. He has now gone to Paradise a second time. RIP+, my friend.
