MARK N. ANGNEY

Mark Agney taught my British Literature class in the fall of 1979. I remember everything about that class -- what we read, the lines he had us memorize, the essay he assigned in which he had to write an obituary for Beowulf. I can still recite the opening lines to the Canterbury Tales and MacBeth's Soliloquy after the death of his wife. My life-long love for reading began in that class.
