Not sure what to say?

I knew Mark when we were both in grad school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. Not sure I would have gotten a degree there without the love and support of Mark and Mary Ellen Banks. I am so sorry that our lives eventually took us in different directions. But he and Mary Ellen were an integral park of my life in Madison. And memories of our shared lives still nurture and reassure me. With profound gratitude and much love...Craig Kois.

Suddenly thought of Mark last night for the first time in quite some time. He was a very memorable and significant part of my grad school experience at UW-Madison some decades ago. Those were important years for both of us and our spouses. without whom I know I would not have such a successful experience at UW. I am sorry to have lost contact with Mark in recent decades, but am thoroughly enjoying mentally revisiting those important years in his, my and our spouses' shared lives.

Mary Ellen and Karl... Please know we send our sympathy and love to the 2 of you at this time. Mark was a wonderful colleague and we missed him at SRU. He had a positive impact on his students over the years, and his leadership within the department will not be forgotten.
