Not sure what to say?

I worked with Mark for the Bay City Schools and always found him to be a dedicated and thoughtful man. My condolences to his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Kirk, Mark, Donna, and spouses,
From the halls of Farragut School to the upper floor of the old administration building, he was a great man. Our family was blessed to have known him as, principal, co-worker,and friend. He came to be called Uncle Mark in our family. He had a heart of gold, and a smile that always warmed your heart. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

My Aunt Donna (Zettle)Bascom waited a long time for a man like Uncle Mark to come into her life. They seemed to be the couple that everyone would want to be. He was a very special person to everyone who knew him and anyone's life he touched. He had the magic of being funny and clever when times called for it and solemon and sincere when time called for it. Some of the best times I and my childred had with him is the family gatherings at the house on the lake once a year, like a Zettle family...

Donna, Mark & Barb, Kirk and Brenda, please accept our deepest and heartfelt prayers. It is hard to imagine growing up without the Bascom family in our lives. Having lost my father in May of last year, we know what pain you are going thru. Thanks for all of the great times we shared during the formative years.

Sincerely, Erika (Lutz) and John Thomas

Please accept our sincere sympathy at your loss.

Condolences to all Mark's family. He was one of a kind. Ilene loved him as a teacher and we both served under his administration for many years. Mark hired me in the early days girls swimming under one condition: I had to ask the girls to keep their eyes shut when I was in the lockeroom.
