I'm 83, not overtly queer, simply love Mark's creative writing. EMBRACE is my favorite book, period. I did have a troubled childhood, no sibs, emotionally distant parents when I needed them most but who gifted me with Asperger's and who did the best they could for me. I unfortunately will be unable to make your memorial at Rhodes, but oddly I think that it wouldn't matter to you. You were my best and favorite professor, an awesome friend, and a completely selfless man. You have taught me a lot, and I hope to carry just a small piece of your wit, intelligence, and kindness into my own teaching career. You changed my life. You changed the world. Thank you.
