Word of Mark's passing profoundly saddened and unsettled me...For twenty years, we worked side by side...He was an outstanding boss, generous in sharing his knowledge and opinion and honest in every criticism and compliment...I can still picture him standing behind his desk, reading a rough draft or reviewing page layouts, twirling his finger around a lock of hair at the nape of his neck.
