Mark Alexander Buchholz

I had the pleasure to sing with Mark in the church choir. He was always very fond of his pet cat and supported the rights of animals to a quality life.

It was a joy to sing in the choir with Mark. He was very fond of his cat and was a supporter of animal welfare.

I am so saddened by Mark's death. He was a wonderful person whose dedication and contributions to so many will be remembered by all who knew him. My thoughts are with you.

Mark was a terrific guy and will be sorely missed. I will always cherish the great conversations we had together when Mark was a judge and I was legal counsel at the Nebraska Workers Compensation Court and, thereafter, during a lifetime of friendship with both of you. Please call if there is anything I can do. I'm so sorry for our loss.

Christina......my thoughts are with you..... We are out of the state into next week but I will call soon. Maybe we can have lunch or even just coffee.

Mark was my mentor when I interned at Barney, Carter and Buchholz during my law school days. He was demanding and knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to work for. He taught me many things I have used later in life and I have fondly remembered Mark and the firm many times since graduation. My thoughts go out to members of the Buchholz family during this difficult time.

My sympathy to all of Mark's family and friends. I shared with Mark a "joint" ceremony on July 7, 1972 - he was sworn in as a judge of the Workmen's Compensation Court; Bill Blue, Sam Van Pelt and myself sworn in as judges of the District Court. All of us "posed" for a photo at a meeting of the Lincoln Bar Association in the 2005-07 time frame.

Judge Buchholz came out of retirement to help at the Court at a time when his service was much needed. He was an absolute joy to work with.
