Not sure what to say?

I'm happy that I got this email today which reminded me of Mark

Great guy.

I loved mark like a best friend. I have often thought of him over the years. He was a wonderful friend. I am so happy to know he got married and was really happy. I can't wait too see him in heaven . Paula Poland Roemer

Mark was my best friend. He was Burns and I am Byrne, brothers in the Sigma Chi fraternity originally and then brothers in life. We met in the fall of 1974 and from the start loved each other. May you rest in peace our dear friend....

There were so many ways Mark and I connected. I will miss him. He was a good listener and most of the time had a point of view worth considering. He often had solution to conflicts which made him a close confidant. Mark had a tremendous strength, will power, which I admired. He appreciated life so much. Out of any and everything about Mark I liked the way he could tell a story best. . . and he had some to tell too.

Burnsie in heaven one week prior to his death

Mark Burns in Heaven Gate at the Purgatory night club taken one week before he died.

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over
Every restless tossing passed:
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me...

Dear Margaret,
Words fail me in the face of a loss like this one. Please know you are loved and that I am here. Ona
