Mark had a family outside his blood relatives. His other family were his brothers and sisters of Vietnam Veterans of America, especially Virginia Beach Chapter 969. He was always active and no matter how he felt, he wanted to be "in the mix" with his fellow vets. Never at a loss for words or ideas, he would share his enthuisiasm with all he knew and cared for.
