I went to Cathedral Grammar School with Mark in the 1960's. I saw him many times in the 80's around the Chicopee area. Very sad to find he has passed.

There will never be another like Mark Caney. I was blessed to meet him on the crossroads of life. Mark loved to conversate his favorite debates included Politics science and religion. Mark never let his trials and tribulations stand in his way I pray he is at peace now and for ever.

My Uncle Mark was a wonderful, sweet soul who touched the lives of so many. He was a gift to this world and during his time on Earth he served as a teacher for us all.

Mark did have to overcome many hardships. He rarely spoke about them, instead he wanted to talk about city politics and how we could improve them in a positive way. I had great respect for mark.

Dear Mrs. Caney and family,
I, like many, am saddened to hear of Mark's passing. Growing up in the South End Mark was a friend for many years. I will always remember Mark's pleasant ways, his great smile and how happy he always was to greet his friends. Mark's presence in the Springfield Community will certainly be missed.
Please accept my condolences.
