I keep Mark's birthday in my calendar to keep him on the prayer list and the heart and memory list. It is not the only time I think about the old rascal, but it is a time that I do hold a deeper fondness and remembrance in my heart. I loved his gregarious desire to banter and to parlais. I really think he had Cajun blood in him, but at least I know his love of dialogue was just as much a sport as it was a means to communicate. Loved kabitzing with the old boy. I wanted to let you know how sorry I am for your loss, and also that I am praying for you as you come through this difficult time.

What an absolute shock it was for me to hear of Mark's passing. Although I knew he was ill, it was beyond my imagination that he was terminal. We had our ups and downs over the 29 years and 2 months of working together, but working for Mark was always interesting and challenging. And the stories! I bet I know his whole life story, many times over! And I was his sounding board. It was great discussing our families and workers' compensation cases with him. And we...

I tried to light a candle on Thurs at Brian & Paula's house, but don't see it so I'll try again. I most remember Mark's great smiles when with grandchildren. Sandie, I remember your kindness to me when I lost Bruce.
