I keep Mark's birthday in my calendar to keep him on the prayer list and the heart and memory list. It is not the only time I think about the old rascal, but it is a time that I do hold a deeper fondness and remembrance in my heart. I loved his gregarious desire to banter and to parlais. What an absolute shock it was for me to hear of Mark's passing. Although I knew he was ill, it was beyond my imagination that he was terminal. We had our ups and downs over the 29 years and 2 months of working together, but working for Mark was always interesting and challenging. And the stories!
