Mark Lee Dombroski

MARK LEE DOMBROSKI, age 19 of Media, PA, was found deceased on March 19, 2018 (Feast of St. Joseph) in Bermuda, because of injuries sustained from a fall.  He was raised in Media, PA and was the youngest son of John and Lisa (Lynn) Dombroski.  Mark attended Nativity BVM School, Waldron Mercy Academy, Archmere Academy and was a freshman at St. Joseph’s University.  He was a loved member of each school community, and his loss is mourned by them.

Mark is survived by his loving and proud big brothers, John and Kevin Dombroski, as well as Aunts & Uncles: Kathy and Rodger Davis, Frank and Lorraine Lynn, Tony and Janet Dombroski, and George and Cheryl Dombroski, as well as cousins: Elise Mattila, Tara, Stephen and Joseph Dombroski.

Mark had a friendly and “lit from within” personality and was a blessing to many beyond his family.  Many have commented on his encouraging, positive attitude and beautiful smile.  Mark wanted all to be happy, as he was.  He helped many friends get through tough times.  He loved Jesus and was an Altar Server at Nativity BVM and participated in numerous summer Mission trips to Appalachia with Media Presbyterian Church to help build and renovate homes.

Mark was a gifted athlete, and a spirited competitor.  He exceled at each sport he tried.  He was a Co-captain of both the Archmere Football and Rugby teams.  He played Wide Receiver, Safety and was Punter & Kicker. In Rugby he played Wing and Full Back and received numerous Tournament and State awards, including MVP for the Delaware State Championship. He played Rose Tree and high school Soccer and was named All-Conference at Archmere.  A gifted sprinter, he ran track for Nativity, and each year ran in the Archdiocesan CYO finals, frequently medaling in sprints and long jump. At Archmere, he qualified in long jump for the DE State Championship. He was on the Media Little League District Team and played CYO Basketball as well as Media Hoops.  Mark was recruited by numerous Universities for Rugby; he selected St. Joseph’s University.  He played varsity and was in Bermuda for the Ariel Re Bermuda International Sevens tournament as part of a team from St. Joseph’s University.

Mark enjoyed time in Brigantine, NJ wakeboarding, boating, and eating sunset bayside meals with family and friends.  His family knows his love will always surround them.

Not sure what to say?

Lisa and John,
On the 7th anniversary of his passing, I just want you to know....
We are always remembering Mark. Always thinking of your family. Always amazed by your strength and grace.
Mark is alive in spirt, in all of our hearts, forever! Sending my love to you both, Kristin Kozlowski Giambra

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Dombroski and Family,

Words cannot begin to express how I feel - the sadness is overwhelming however I take comfort knowing that Mark is now in a much better place with beyond-fantastic company!!

When I spoke with Bishop Wesley here in Bermuda and offered to play the organ in St. Theresa's Cathedral for Mark, I did it because I knew I would be more than honoured, humbled and proud to give so obviously fine a young man nothing but the very best musically...

We can not imagine your sorrow. Please know we are thinking of you and your family at this time! Fondly, , Kathy and Bob Mitchell

We hope it is a comfort to your family to know that Mark will always hold a very warm place in our memories here . It is a shame that most of us never had the blessing of knowing him personally .

With deepest sympathy on the passing of your beloved son, Mark. There are no words to express our sadness upon hearing the tragic news. Mark's life was remarkable despite his short time on Earth. It was truly a joy to read about all of his accomplishments. Olivia & I remember him as always happy, funny, & an amazing athlete-a natural.
He is now on God's team. God bless your family.
Elissa & Olivia Waldron

Dear Dombroski Family, Our deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. May God give you the comfort and peace that you seek. May Mark's soul rest in peace.

The Dombroski Family,

Words cannot express the sorrow and heartache felt by the loss of your son and brother, Mark. Such a tragedy should never by placed on anyone, especially a family who is as loving and connected to our Lord as yourselves. Mark was truly a kind and gently soul! As a child he was always considerate and sweet to his classmates and respectful to his teachers and elders. He was honest, fair and always ready for a good time. I remember Mark distinctly for these...

To the Dombroski family,

I want to extend my sincere condolences to you and your whole family on the untimely passing of Mark. We, the people of Bermuda are beside you as you grieve for Mark and are praying for you at this most sad time. May he RIP and may you keep all of the beautiful memories of Mark tucked deeply inside of your heart's.

May God be with you!
The Burrows family
