Not sure what to say?

I was at school with Mark at Wilmslow Grammar, he was a great guy, dry humour, cheerful, saw the best in people and a wise man beyond his years.

It's been a year since Mark passed here in Novato CA USA, and I'll be listing to the Gang of Four and hoisting several pints in his honor. There's a chance we will see Jennifer at a local taproom on Sunday afternoon along with Mark's teenhood friend, Tim Elsmore (left in photo), who lives here in town. They were both founding members of our Knovato Knutsford All-Stars craft beer research team.

Met Mark when he was my sisters house mate in Leeds. I used to go & stay there during school holidays. We went to see live bands, Gaang Of Four, Mekons , Buzzcocks, Sex Pistols. Remember hitching from Manchester to London to see The Ruts at The Nashville in Fulham. He used to record the John Peel live sessions on TDK cassettes. I remember he had very neat writing labelling them all. He had great musical taste, although the same couldn´t be said for his indoor footwear -The infamous grandad...

I first met Mark in 2007 when I started working with his MDM limo business. That relationship continued for 14 years right up to the pandemic. Mark ( and David) were wonderful to work for. He always had my back, and kept me as busy as possible as the Uber and Lyft rides became competitive. We managed to get together for lunch and beers several times, most recently in January. I know Mark was at peace with his life, and so grateful for everyone and everything in his life. I'll think of...

So sorry to hear the sad news of Mark's passing. My heart goes out to Jennifer and Julia. I linked in with Dyce and his group of friends in Knutsford, after meeting some of them on a holiday in Wales. Dyce was always great to be around. As a bunch of friends we had lots of parties and visited lots of Cheshire pubs. I remember going with Dyce to see "Yes" in concert at Manchester's Free Trade Hall. After the support band... in the break before Yes came on, Dyce said let's go see the band. We...

It was with deep shock and sadness that I learned from Jennifer that Dyce had passed away. As so many others have said, he was wonderfully good company. We shared school life, gigs, parties at New Year and two long inter-rail holidays travelling across Europe. Then after university in early Autumn 1979, jobless and broke, we hitch-hiked down to Dover and across the channel with a vague plan to find work in France. So began three months travelling that started in a vineyard in Champagne where...
