Not sure what to say?

Dear Jacqui and Family,
We are deeply saddened to learn of your loss. We knew Mark primarily through his and your children and grandchildren,a real tribute to both of you. They are amazingly gifted and loving wonderful people, highly regarded in our community. Mark's loss is keenly felt even by those of us who knew him only through brief contacts and though his family. May his memory continue to be a blessing and may you be comforted with the mourners of Zion.

Dear Jacqui and family:

I was deeply saddened to learn of Mark's death. As a fellow attorney in Anchorage, I had several occasions to work with Mark on legal matters over the years. Even when we were on opposing sides of a case, Mark was a consummate professional. He was always patient, gracious, and reasonable, even on occasions when I may not have been. On cases where we worked as co-counsel, I learned that Mark had both a keen legal mind and a fine sense of humor. He worked...

Dear Jacqui, Josh, Jamie, and Nikki,

I am truly sorry for this monumental loss in your lives. I remember Mark with gratitude for his part in helping me to transition to a new chapter in my life and for the best sauerbraten I've ever eaten; but mostly for being a much loved husband and father. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. If ever you need me, I am here; as you were for me when I needed you.

The Anchorage and Congregation Beth Sholom communities are poorer without Mark. I was fortunate to experience his intelligence and humor during Talumd classes with Rabbi Harry.
I can only offer condolences, which aren't nearly enough to express my sorrow.

Jackie, we're devastated at the loss of Mark, a compassionate, gentle man who lived life fully. Fortunately, we have many wonderful memories of visits and dinners that will keep him alive in our thoughts. We share your sorrow and we love you.

Dearest Jacqui, Josh, Jamie and Nikki, our love reaches out to each of you at this time and always. Mark was a wonderful man, husband and father. "May God comfort you among all mourners of Zion and Jerusaleum".

Mark and his family enfolded my family with dinners, hikes, long discussions, holiday celebrations and children’s milestones for the 15 years we were in Anchorage. We are diminished by the loss of Mark’s humor and intellect, his love of the esoteric, of life and of his family. How fortunate we are to have been friends with him. We are comforted to know that he died while enjoying his passion for hiking.

Mark served the Human Rights Commission diligently and was a loyal friend and advisor. His integrity and kindness set an example for the whole staff who loved and admired him. His contribution to human rights in Alaska will endure as will his place in the hearts of all who knew him.

Our thoughts, energy and hearts are with you, Jacqui, children and grandchildren. Mark's gentle, humorous intellect and great spirit was unique among us. We'll miss him greatly.
