Mark E. Filipkowski

I was a close friend of Marks some 30 years ago when we both lived near Washington, DC. I met him through his physics colleagues at the Naval research Lab. I had just come through a very difficult personal time, and Mark was the sweetest friend ever. He was a tender hearted and compassionate man who I will always remember, a superlative listener and caretaker. The world has lost a special soul whose kindness and love touched many. I am heartbroken.
