I cannot believe Mark Freedman is gone from this world. I met him through my friends Mark Guard and Tim Kay in the late 1970s. We were standing on my front porch on Mayflower Drive. I clearly remember how "present" he was - alert to the other person, alert to the breeze, alert to the sun and to the shadows. Not everyone has this quality. We always loved Mark´s greetings as he checked on our meals for birthdays, anniversaries and out of town guest go to spot. His smile end spirit were inspirational.

Mark has been one of the brightest stars of Greensboro life. With his warm, inquisitive, and inviting personality, he ran his restaurants his way. Friends gathering over good food, good wine, and so many good times.
